OUR STORY

In the 1980’s, founder Lakshmi working at a supermarket in Hyderabad, India found that the South Indian snacks and papads (papadums) that she had while were not available in the same taste anymore. Coming from a family of traditional cooks she decided to source authentic homemade papads. Something that started as an attempt to reintroduce the taste of homemade papads has evolved into a trusted brand that is available in all major supermarkets and five star hotel across India.

Rachana products are made by several artisans and many of them have spent their entire lives learning the art of making tasty and crunchy papads from fine ingredients. Our commitment is that each item bearing the Rachana name has been made with love and the utmost attention to quality.
